As a seasoned landlord consultant, Friedel specializes in large scale, ground-up, mixed-use development projects nationally that contain a significant retail presence. Providing full-service, owner-focused retail leasing services from planning to execution, he is involved with every stage of development, from initial space planning with the architectural team to the marketing, positioning and leasing of retail assets. Over the course of his distinguished career, Friedel has worked with landlords in both an in-house capacity as the EVP, head of retail leasing at The Related Companies and as a third-party consultant executing projects such as Disney Springs and Grand Central Terminal, giving him a unique perspective that makes him ideally suited to meeting both the short- and long-term goals of his clients.
Achievements and Affiliations
As a result of his work for Time Warner Center, Friedel was featured in Crain’s Business’ “Rising Stars: 40 Under 40” feature, which recognizes young professionals who have made a significant impact on business in New York.
Friedel is an active supporter and contributor to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Education
Friedel earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University. In addition, he holds a diploma in Real Estate Investment Analysis from NYU.
